The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) are trialling a new workplace health assessment discount scheme.
It is called ‘Get a workplace health assessment to support an employee’s health and disability’.
The aim is to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) find workplace health providers to conduct assessments for their employees.
The scheme is currently eligible for SME’s in Lancashire and Cumbria

As part of this Government scheme, all employees at a business can get an assessment.
Employees can have assessments for ongoing or new cases;
-Individual appointments will be remote
-On-site visits require minimum of 3 employees

Employers can refer their employees for occupational health services up to the cost of £400. The employer only pays 20% of the final cost, DWP pays the remaining 80%.
James has a video call (remote appointment) assessment with a nurse. It costs £350. Employer pays only £70 and DWP pays the remaining £280
